2026 FIFA World Cup: results and NZ betting rules

Updated 25 September 2026. The 2026 FIFA World Cup took place from 11 June to 19 July across Canada, Mexico and the United States. The tournament has concluded. This page no longer lists projected pre-tournament odds or promotes bets on matches that have already finished.

Final result

FIFA reports that Spain beat Argentina 1–0 in the final on 19 July 2026. For the match record and final standings, see FIFA’s tournament standings. Historical odds quoted before the tournament would not be a current offer and should not be used as advice for future events.

New Zealand sports betting law

The relevant legislation is the Racing Industry Amendment Act 2025, not a 2024 Act. Since 28 June 2025, DIA says TAB NZ is the only operator permitted to offer sports and racing bets to customers in New Zealand.
